BAHA Pop Up Shop
In a global community, financial literacy is very important. The Economic Development committee strives to increase our community’s awareness of financial planning, money management, consumer education, investments, and employment opportunities with a goal of empowering people to work toward financial independence.
Some of the many projects the committee has undertaken include:
· BAHA Pop Up Shop
· Participation in the “Saving My $5s” financial campaign launched by Marilyn Logan, author of the book, “I Can’t Afford to Marry You!”
· Financial seminar for high school students
· Financial education seminar that focused on estate planning, will writing, and Medicare
The Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter is also a proud supporter and participant in our local Habitat for Humanity program. BAHA members have donated funds and contributed many build hours in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity’s “Women Build” program!
