Physical & Mental Health

As a sorority comprised predominately of African American women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., encourages its members to promote a healthy lifestyle.

If there are further questions, please contact the Physical & Mental Health Chair at [email protected].

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
The Bay Area Houston Alumnae chapter focuses on areas that impact Black women most. One of the biggest threats to the health of Black women is breast cancer. We have created a One Size Does Not Fit All Breast Cancer Awareness Series to bring awareness to early detection and prevention of breast cancer, and we donate $500 to the Rose Clinic to help with the financial aid of providing free screenings to women in the community.

Z-FUSION
The other biggest health threat of Black women is heart disease. We partner with The American Heart Association to deliver a Health and Wellness Fair which includes a dance workout to pump up those hearts!
